Twitter is calling Jim Carrey out for his recent remarks to a female journalist.

According to Page Six, Heat World's Charlotte Long interviewed the actor for his upcoming film, Sonic the Hedgehog.

She asked the 58-year-old, "In the film, Sonic has a bucket list, I was wondering, after all you've done in your career and in your life, is there anything still left on your bucket list?"

"Just you," he said.

The shocked and seemingly awkward journalist laughed.

"That's it. It's all done now," Jim said. "I don't know what to say to that," she responded before he quipped, "Just own it."

The interview got a lot of traction. After it went viral, users on Twitter praised the reporter for her professionalism, reports Independent, but called the comedian a "scumbag" and a "sleazeball".

"Look up 'sleazeball' in the dictionary and there's a photo of @JimCarrey," one user wrote, while another said "Such a huge of @JimCarrey but lost respect for him today."

Charlotte tweeted about the incident, though her account is private. Jim has not responded to the backlash.

This isn't the first time the actor has made inappropriate comments. On The Graham Norton Show he implied Margot Robbie's success is due to her appearance.

"You’re really something," he told the Bombshell star. "It’s incredible you got as far as you have with your obvious physical disadvantages. That’s pure talent there."
