- Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are focussing on "healing" in 2021.
- The couple has had a complicated relationship with the royal family since their exit from the firm in January 2019, but it seems things are looking up.
- "Family disagreements tend to lose heat with distance and time," a source says, referring to the family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex exited the royal firm at a time when Prince Harry and Prince William weren't on the best of terms.
In fact, Harry spoke candidly about their rumoured rift while on tour in South Africa in 2019, saying: "As brothers, we have good days, and we have bad days."
He added, however: "I'll always be there for him, and as I know, he'll always be there for me. We don't see each other as much as we used to because we're so busy, but I love him dearly."
Now, a source tells People Harry and Meghan are "hoping 2021 can be a time of healing not just for the world, but for their family", which of course, includes repairing things with the rest of the royals.
"Family disagreements tend to lose heat with distance and time," says the source, which seems to have been the very thing to remedy things between the brothers.
Another insider echoed these sentiments around Christmas – although Harry and Meghan were in California over the holidays, they exchanged gifts with William and Kate.
"Everyone is on better terms and have been for quite some time," the source said at the time. "The relationship has improved, and Covid has brought everyone closer together."
