Meghan Markle has shared a few words with fans following the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
The feminist icon, and stalwart liberal on the US Supreme Court since 1993, died at her home on Friday of complications from metastatic pancreatic cancer. She was 87 years old.
Tributes came pouring in for the women's rights activist. "Her rest is earned. It is our turn to fight," Kerry Washington wrote.
In a statement to People, Meghan Markle echoed those same sentiments, calling her "a true inspiration".
"With an incomparable and indelible legacy, Ruth Bader Ginsburg will forever be known as a woman of brilliance, a Justice of courage, and a human of deep conviction," the Duchess of Sussex said.
"She has been a true inspiration to me since I was a girl. Honour her, remember her, act for her," she said.
