Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip of Sweden have both tested positive for Covid-19.

According to Swedish publication, Expressen, the royals started experiencing flu-like symptoms on Wednesday evening and took tests which both came back positive.

"They feel relatively well under the circumstances," the Royal Court's Director of the Information and Press Department, Margareta Thorgren, said, according to Reuters.

Prince Carl Philip is fourth in line to the Swedish throne and married former model and reality TV star, Sofia Kristina Hellqvist in 2015. The couple share sons, Prince Alexander (4) and Prince Gabriel (3), both of whom are not experiencing any symptoms.

Princess Sofia has done extensive work during the pandemic, reports E! News, even completing an intensive training course in April before beginning work at Sophiahemmet Hospital to aid and work alongside healthcare workers.
