As the Duke and Duchess of York await the arrival of Princess Eugenie's little one, Sarah Ferguson has revealed some other exciting news: the release of her first novel.
Her Heart for a Compass, based on the life of the duchess's great-great-aunt, Lady Margaret Montagu Douglas Scott, will hit shelves on 3 August and is published by Mills & Boon, reports Hello! Magazine.
"I am proud to bring my personal brand of historical fiction to the publishing world," the duchess, who's previously written children's books as well as non-fiction about Queen Victoria, said.
"It all started with researching my ancestry. Digging into the history of the Montagu-Douglas Scotts, I first came across Lady Margaret, who intrigued me because she shared one of my given names," she added.
"But although her parents, the Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch, were close friends with Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, I was unable to discover much about my namesake's early life, and so was born the idea which became Her Heart for a Compass."
According to BBC, the story will include real people and events, but also draw on the duchess' own experiences. "My imagination took over," she explained.
