As Harry and Meghan continue to set up their new life in the US, they made sure to take some time out on Monday to honour Princess Diana.

On the 23rd anniversary of her death, Harry and Meghan visited the Preschool Learning Center in Los Angeles. They joined teachers and children, read books together, while the students danced and sang along to nursery rhymes.

The outing comes shortly after Prince William and Prince Harry released a joint statement announcing their plans to install a statue of their late mother at Kensington Palace in 2021 – the year she would’ve turned 60.

Harry and Meghan joined children on Monday in the learning garden – even getting their hands dirty watering plants with elephant-shaped cans and planting various flowers and vegetables, reports People.

"Everyone got their hands dirty digging holes for the new plants and seeds and making sure they were secure with enough soil," a source said of the occasion.

Harry also reportedly brought seeds of Princess Diana’s favourite flower for the couple to plant: Myosotis, better known as forget-me-nots.
