Cape Town – Thomas Markle, the estranged father of Meghan Markle, is reportedly desperate to meet his grandson.
Thomas did not attend Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding and was not invited to his grandson's christening.
When Archie was born, he told The Sun, "I'm delighted to hear that mother and child are doing well. I'm proud that my new grandson is born into the British royal family and I'm sure he'll grow up to serve the crown and the people of Britain with grace, dignity, and honour."
He continued, "God bless the child and I wish him health and happiness, and my congratulations to my lovely daughter Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry, and God save the Queen."
According to the Mail on Sunday, Thomas hasn't seen Meghan since before the royal wedding and said he hoped motherhood would "mellow" Meghan and she would "reach out".
"I would like them to send me a picture of Archie so I can frame it and put it on my wall beside the one of Meghan," he said. "Isn't that what any grandfather would want? I'd love to know if he's got the famous Markle nose."
