Rapper Cardi B has landed her first lead role in a big-screen film.
The WAP hitmaker will play the main character in the Paramount comedy, Assisted Living.
Produced by Temple Hill and Stephen Love, the film centres around Amber (Cardi), a small-time criminal who lands herself in hot water after a botched heist.
"On the run from the cops and her former crew, she struggles to find anywhere to hide. Running out of options, Amber disguises herself as an elderly woman and hides out in the one place no one will look -- her estranged grandmother's nursing home,"Variety writes.
According to the publication, the movie is being described as a "raucous comedy" with "tremendous heart" and being compared to the likes of Mrs Doubtfire and Sister Act.
In 2019, Cardi made her feature film debut with a minor role in Hustlers, starring alongside Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu.
