All right stop. Collaborate and listen. Dave Franco is back in a brand-new role.

The 35-year-old will play Rob Van Winkle aka Vanilla Ice in the upcoming biopic, To the Extreme.

According to Insider, the film will chronicle the rapper's rise to fame "from a high school dropout selling cars in Dallas to having the first hip-hop single to top the Billboard charts with Ice Ice Baby a young Vanilla Ice struggles with stardom, extortion attempts, and selling out as he makes music history."

In an interview with the publication the Superbad actor said he hopes the movie will be like The Disaster Artist in which his brother, James Franco starred.

"With that movie, people expected us to make a broad comedy where we make fun of Tommy Wiseau, but the more real we played it, the funnier and heartfelt it was — that's the tone we want for this one as well," said Dave.

He also shared that while production on the film hasn't begun yet, he has been in contact with Vanilla Ice to help him prepare for the role and that he has been helpful in getting all the details correct and giving them information that the public doesn't know.
