
Neill Blomkamp reportedly filmed a horror feature movie over the summer in the US.
Entertainment Weekly reports that the South African born filmmaker shot the movie he wrote in British Columbia under strictly on-set Covid-19 protocols. While the movie, title and plot have not been revealed, the film is described as a supernatural horror.
According to Deadline the movie is expected to finish in next year and is a project Neill always wanted to make.
This will be his first feature since the 2015 film Chappie. The 41-year-old was tapped to direct the action thriller movie Inferno with Taylor Kitsch this year, but due to the pandemic, the film has been postponed to 2021.
In 2018 he was linked to the RoboCop sequel. The District 9 director also worked on a new experimental filmmaking project called Oats Studio where he released a series of short films on YouTube and Stream.
