Oscar Isaac and Jake Gyllenhaal are set to star in a film about the making of The Godfather.
Deadline reports that Oscar will play director Francis Ford Coppola and Jake will play Paramount studio head Robert Evans in Francis and The Godfather.
The drama directed by Barry Levinson will centre on the 'legendary and wild battles' that went into making the 1972 film.
About the upcoming film, Barry said in a statement to the publication: "Out of the madness of production, and against all the odds, a classic film happened."
Award-winning director Francis Ford Coppola gave the project his stamp of approval: "Any movie that Barry Levinson makes about anything, will be interesting and worthwhile!"
There was a lot of behind-the-scenes drama between Francis and the studio about casting, budget and location, reports Entertainment Weekly.
The film went on to win three Oscars at the 45th Academy Awards and is considered one of the most influential movies of all time.
