Cape Town – Filming for the sequel of Escape Room has taken over the Mother City.

The film released in March this year centres on a group of strangers who are promised $10 000 for being able to complete a series of difficult "escape rooms" but when they get to the location, they quickly find out that it’s not money but their lives that is on the line.  (Read our review here)

In February the studio announced that a sequel had been commissioned set for a November 2020 release.

Director Adam Robitel and writer Bragi F Schut have both returned for the sequel reports DigitalSpy.

Returning cast members Taylor Russell and Logan Miller are joined by new cast members Indya Moore, Holland Roden, Isabelle Fuhrman, Carlito Olivero and Thomas Cocquerel.

On Monday filming took place at the Cape Town International Conventional Centre which was turned into an airport.

Adam has shared snaps of the cast hard at work on his Instagram account. According to his post, they are now on day 24 of filming.

But it hasn't been all work the cast and crew have also been enjoying the sights. They also celebrated Thanksgiving dinner.
