The new South African film Wesens is a first of its kind.

The Afrikaans found-footage film follows four South African Republican Intelligence Agents as they investigate an unidentified object that landed on a farm in the Karoo on 1 December 1967.

Their expedition is filmed with their Super 8 and 16mm cameras. What follows is a mystery that will keep you guessing until the very last line.

The cast includes renowned South African actors Albert Maritz (Griekwastad, Fynskrif, Trackers), Pietie Beyers (Binnelanders, Vergeet My Nie) and Morné Visser (The Kissing Booth, The Harvester, Dis ek, Anna).

Wesens opens in theatres nationwide on 23 October 2020.
