Cape Town - Australian DJ Thomas Jack and Vintage Culture (Brazil) are the first two international electronic music acts announced to play at the Caribbean Twist Beach Bar at this year’s Rocking the Daisies.
Rocking the Daisies will be taking place from 1-4 October this year at Cloof Wine Estate in Darling.
These two phenomenal DJs will form part of a stellar line-up for the Caribbean Twist Beach Bar, alongside local artists Miss CJ, Burn to Tape, Stone Age Citizens, Lamagier and Brother, with more acts to be announced soon.
Hailing from Bemboka, Australia, at 20 years old Thomas Jack’s rising star and future are shining as bright as the music he creates. His hit single Final Speech led him to a viral tear on top of the HypeM charts, where he continued a successful run with follow up tracks such as his stellar remix of Little Talks for Of Monsters and Men as well as the extra smooth remix for Adrian Lux’s hit single Teenage Crime.
Expect an electric set filled with pleasure, sax, flutes, trumpets, and almost every kind of instrument you can imaging. Bringing jazz orchestras for a unique style that appeals to the masses, this developing artist never ceases to amaze.
Brazilian producer Lukas Ruiz, popularly known as Vintage Culture, has dedicated himself to creating a unique brand of Nu-Disco that focuses on blending the sounds of retro synth-pop with the innovative feels of the modern Deep House/Nu-Disco scene. Growing up Lukas fell in love with the sounds of Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk and found inspiration in the music of the 80s and 90s.

He began combining elements of these styles with the sexy rhythmic feels of the Brazilian dance scene and became the much loved DJ that is Vintage Culture. The beginning of 2013 marked the birth of this project and has since garnered support from leading players in the deep house arena, such as Teenage Mutants, Betoko, Kolombo, Amine Edge & DANCE, Danny Daze, Thomaz Krauze, Gabe, Saccao, Adriatique and more.
