Cape Town – It was all about strong and independent women dominating the entertainment headlines on Thursday.

Queen Elizabeth II visited the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital on Thursday to talk to some of the Ariana Grande concert blast victims.

Hollywood stars Nicole Kidman and Colin Farrell said on Wednesday they wanted to throw their star power behind more movies made by women, after the Cannes premiere of Sofia Coppola’s film, The Beguiled.
