Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande are both known for their exceptional vocals and ability to belt out those high notes. So, when I heard that they had dropped a track together, I readied my ears for the diva ballad of a lifetime - you know, the kind of song that would have me in my feels with every harmony.

But that's not what I got, and I'm not disappointed.

The song, titled Rain on Me, is the fist-pumping, three-minute dance-pop number I never knew I needed. It offers listeners an instant pick-me-up, which is exactly what it intended to do.

Written by Lady Gaga, the track was released on Thursday, and according to reports, a video will follow shortly.

"One time I felt like I was crying so much it would never stop. Instead of fighting it, I thought bring it on, I can do hard things. @arianagrande I love you for your strength and friendship. Let's show them what we've got," Lady Gaga wrote on Instagram.

The track makes its debut just one week before Gaga's latest album, Chromatica, is set to be released.
