Cape Town – After teasing fans for some time now, Mandy Moore has finally released a new song.
In April the Emmy-nominated actress shared that she is working on new music with her husband, Taylor Goldsmith.
When I Wasn't Watching is the 35-year-old's first original song in 10 years.
While she released a cover of Willin' by Little Feat in 2017 for the This is Us soundtrack she hasn't released a piece of original music since her 2009 album, Amanda Leigh reports Entertainment Weekly.
The up-tempo song could have been inspired by Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time.
It's about who we are when nobody is looking and what we become when we aren't watching.

In an interview with the New York Times earlier this year Mandy opened up about her marriage to singer-songwriter Ryan Adams. She claimed he was psychologically abusive to her and that he had offered to help her with her music career but then stifled it and discouraged her from working with other people in the industry.
Speaking about her new music and songs with Marc Maron on his "WTF" podcast she said that they are very personal and that she has lived a life in the past ten years and has a lot to say, reports Pitchfork.
