Robbie Williams is forming a new band.

According to NME, the singer made the announcement during a recent Instagram Live video.

"Little project that I've got going on with a couple of friends of mine, Flynn Francis and Tim Metcalfe. We're forming a band everyone," he said, adding: "I've got songs coming out that will not be under the name of Robbie Williams."

Robbie got his start in the boy band Take That, which he famously left in 1995.

The singer went on to have a successful solo career, releasing tracks like Feel, Angels and She's the One.

Robbie has not revealed the name for his new band yet, but has reportedly said that he wants to rent a space where he will display his art during the day. "Then at night I shall be DJing, and it will be a musical venue, something the old folks will call a rave," he said.
