Two guitars owned, and partly designed, by Eddie Van Halen are going up for auction this December.
The instruments, a 2004 EVH Charvel Art Series electric guitar and another EVH custom-designed electric guitar that Eddie built, are among several items which will be up for grabs at the Julien's Auction in Los Angeles, reports NME.
Eddie died in October at the age of 65 after a long battle with cancer. According to NME, the auction had already been organised prior to the rock star's death.
Each guitar is expected to bring in between £31 000 and £62 000 (around R660 000 and R1.3 million)
According to the Julien's Auction website, the event, called the Icons & Idols Trilogy: Rock 'n Roll, will feature "some of the most iconic memorabilia and important artifacts ever assembled" from artists like Kurt Cobain, Prince, Elvis Presley and The Beatles.
