Red, White and Blue is part of Steve McQueen's Small Axe anthology and is the true story of Leroy Logan, a forensic scientist who leaves behind laboratory work and becomes a policeman after two police officers assault his father.

It is set in the 1970s/80s and Leroy has to deal with disapproval from his father and being shunned by his community on top of racism within the Metropolitan Police Force.

Leroy went on to become the face of the force used to drive black recruits and served in the police for 30 years, but faced many struggles within the organisation.
