kykNET's popular soap Suidooster is expanding its cast with three new actors joining the show.

Actress Monique Rockman who starred in the kykNet drama series Spreeus last year makes her first appearance as Joy on Monday, 1 June.

About her character, Monique says: "Joy brings drama with her to Ruiterbosch, everyone in the community will not like her, but this isn't going to put her off from starting a new life in Cape Town."

This is the first time the Nommer 37 actress will star in a soapie, Monique says she is enjoying it and is excited to learn new acting techniques.

Marlo Minnaar (Sara se Geheim) joins the soapie mid-June as Imraan, a distant family member from Mrs J (Theras Sedras) who moves to Ruiterbosch for a new job opportunity. There is also an unexpected romance on the cards for him.

"Viewers have bonded deeply with Suidooster's characters mostly because of the fact that the storyline, intrigue, and drama holds a unique local Cape Town flavour to it," says Marlo.
