Johannesburg - YES! Our prayers have been answered.

Last night was the epic finale of Ashes to Ashes. And while it was supposed to be done and dusted, as is the nature of a telenova, The Juice can confirm that there is talk of bringing the Namane family back to our screens.

There were whispers on social media last night that there would be a season 2, and sources confirmed to us that the show received such high ratings, that TV execs then started toying with the idea.

Now e.tv has confirmed our suspicions.

"The response we received to Ashes to Ashes has been great. The show enjoys a consistently loyal viewership and continuously receives great feedback from viewers. The channel is considering commissioning a second season," says the channel's MD, Monde Twala.

At an event earlier this year, Nambitha Mpumlwana, teased that something was up. "Who knows. We might be back... sooner than you think," she giggled.

Ooooh, we can't wait!
