Bonang and Jeannie D to replace Noeleen?

Jeannie and B are ready to take over the world
Jeannie and B are ready to take over the world

Johannesburg - Ever since it was announced that Noeleen Maholwana-Sangqu would be leaving 3 Talk, the question err'body wants to know is who will be replacing her.

Now The Juice can give you the scoop. Well-placed industry sources have told us that it will be Bonang Matheba and Jeannie D. "Noeleen actually told the SABC a long time ago that she wanted to leave, so they have been playing around with the idea of who could replace her for a long time now," explains one insider.

"The names that kept coming up was Jeannie and Bonang, but they had to come up with a concept where it wouldn't be one talk show host, but rather the both of them," adds the source.

At Noeleen's final curtain call on Monday, the SABC again reiterated that there is a local replacement show, but it would be nothing like 3 Talk as no-one could fill Noeleen's shoes. "We have another show and it will start airing on 4 May. Until then, re-runs of 3 Talk will be airing," confirmed the SABC's Kaizer Kganyago.

Our source goes on to add that while Jeannie and Bonang have only recently started filming, behind the scenes they have been hard at work. "There have been so many brainstorming sessions that have been going on - this has been a long process. They want to make sure that it is nothing like 3 Talk. It's a completely different concept and idea, with two of South Africa's most loved personalities working together."

And if you think about it, it does make sense. B rushed off to Cape Town to film a new TV show, although she would never elaborate what exactly the project was, only saying it's going to be "big".

"There is a bit of a rush to get things done. That's why they have been working so many late hours and are on set all day, every day," adds another industry insider.

Remember all those "feud" rumours between these two ladies that did the rounds a few years ago? Ja, well, you showed them!

Congrats, ladies! We can't wait to watch!
