Johannesburg- Lerato Kganyago's journey to the top hasn't been a walk in the park.

But the TV and radio personality's dreams are finally becoming a reality. In the past two months alone, she's bagged a spot on Metro FM and a role on Muvhango.

Lerato is well on her to being one of Mzansi's 'IT' girls. However, Lerato K has also had her fair share of criticism, and hate over the years.

But, it has not deterred Lerato from her goals. During a recent interview with Drum magazine Lerato K opened up, about being compared to Bonang, and the hate she's received along the years.

Lerato explained that criticism doesn't break her but pushes her to work harder instead. And, for years Lerato has been accused of mimicking Bonang.

"That's an insult. It's frustrating because I find myself trying to change my voice. I tried to change so I wouldn't be compared to anyone, but I realised I'm being unfair to myself," she told the mag.

She added that Bonang and her are 'okay' with each other but people don't want them to be okay.

Glad that's cleared up!
