Johannesburg - Zozibini Tunzi's hometown of Tsolo, Sidwadwena in the Eastern Cape were elated on Monday when the beauty queen took home the title of Miss Universe 2019.

The 26-year-old's community have passionately supported her journey since her Miss South Africa win in August

Zozi was also brought to tears at her national costume reveal in November when she was surprised with video messages from friends, family and neighbours back home wishing her well.

After being crowned Miss Universe at a ceremony in Atlanta on Sunday, members of the Tsolo community took to the streets on Monday to rejoice at the good news.
