Friday, 12 March 2021In June 2020, Channel24 spoke to Cliff Simon about making his return to South African TV screens with his own reality doccie Uncharted Mysteries. During the interview, he fondly remembered his time on the South African soapie Egoli and spoke about his love for the outdoors, adventure sports and "catching a few waves." Cliff died on Tuesday, 9 March after a kiteboarding accident at Topanga Beach in Malibu, his wife, Colette Simon, confirmed

In the early nineties, Cliff Simon was known to local viewers for his role as Gregory "Mitch" Mitchel on the M-Net soapie Egoli. Now 20 years after relocating to Los Angeles, Cliff is back on South African TV screens. 

The former Mr South Africa takes on the paranormal and unexplained in his own reality doccie, Uncharted Mysteries on the History Channel (DStv 186).
