The Ngubane family have announced the funeral details for South African actor Menzi Ngubane

Menzi died on Saturday 13 March, after suffering a stroke; he is survived by his wife Sikelelwa and two daughters.

The family have announced a joint funeral for Menzi and his father, uBaba Ndodeni Ngubane. The actor's father died on Tuesday, three days after Menzi's death.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS:

Date: Saturday 20 March 2021

Venue: Ladysmith Indoor Sports Centre, Ladysmith, Mnambithi

Born in the dusty streets of Ladysmith esgodini KwaSomsuku, KwaZulu Natal, Menzi mesmerised South Africans and the global acting industry with his exceptional portrayal of the characters he played.

In 2011 Menzi was diagnosed with kidney failure and was on dialysis for three years. He received a kidney transplant in September 2014 and had become an advocate for healthy living. 

At the time of his death, Menzi was working with the producers of an upcoming South African and Thai movie Red Cargo and had also started a mentorship programme called "Boy Mentorship with Menzi," where he mentored young boys to become respectable members of society.
