Nikita Murray tests negative for STD following Katlego Maboe cheating scandal

Nikita Murray has broken her silence after being implicated in a viral video, in which Katlego Maboe claimed they had sex.

Katlego made headlines on 23 October, when a video surfaced online, showing the former Expresso presenter confess to cheating on his partner, Monique Muller, and having sex with a woman named Nikita.

In the video, Monique alleges that she contracted an STD as a result of him being unfaithful in their relationship.

Speaking to TshisaLive, Vincent Bergh of Liquor Law and Business Consultants released a statement on behalf of Nikita and husband, Matthew, labelling claims that she was the cause of Katlego contracting an STD as "irresponsible and impossible."

"Our clients are very perturbed about the wild allegations flying around in the media, involving Mrs Murray and her family," says the statement.

According to the statement, Nikita underwent a medical exam with the results determining that she has no STD.

"Due to these allegations, Mrs Murray had undergone a medical test to confirm that she has no sexually transmitted disease. The claims by Mr Maboe that Mrs Murray was the cause of him contracting the STD as accused of by the person who made the video, is therefore irresponsible and impossible," says the statement.

"We want to reiterate that our clients are happily married, and they have dealt with the effects of this malicious video in private. Their marriage is stronger than before," it continues. "They want to thank all their family and friends and the public who had supported them during these trying times. We trust that you will set the record straight and not harass our clients any further," the statement continues.

Following the incident, Outsurance released a statement after it was reported that Nikita was an employee of the company, saying: "We also want to clarify that Nikita Murray is not a current Outsurance employee. She last worked for the company in 2018. Katlego Maboe and Nikita Murray met independently and not via any relation to Outsurance."

Channel24 has reached out to Vincent Bergh of Liquor Law and Business Consultants and will update the article should more information become available.
