Pearl Modiadie thanks followers for 'outpouring of love' following the birth of her child

In an Instagram post, on Monday, announcing the arrival of her newborn, the TV personality said: "To finally have you here feels incredibly surreal."

Now, in a follow-up tweet, she has now thanked fans and followers for the "outpouring of love."

This is Pearl's first child with her partner.

Pearl, kept most of her pregnancy under wraps but confirmed to Channel24 that she was expecting her first child after news of her pregnancy leaked in June.

"Thank you for the outpouring of love for my growing family!" she tweeted. 

"I'm deeply appreciative of every single one of your messages of support and well wishes. My heart is bursting with gratitude for my new chapter & I'm happy to have shared the news with you," she added. 

Pearl is yet to reveal the gender or name of their family's newest arrival. 

Other celebrity parents to have recently welcomed their bundle of joy include Simphiwe Ngema and Tino Chinyani and Cameron van der Burgh and Nefeli Valakelis.
