Somizi's cookbook will be here soon and he wants it to break records

  • TV personality Somizi Mhlongo is getting ready to release his first cookbook.
  • The star announced that the book, titled Dinner At Somizi's: I Am Not A Chef, will be available in less than two weeks.
  • "I am wearing a new cap -- I am a cookbook author," he said in a clip shared on Instagram.
  • Somizi also says he wants to break records with the book, urging fans to pre-order a copy.

In less than two weeks you will be able to get your hands on a copy of Somizi's very first cookbook.

The TV personality took to Instagram on Tuesday to make the announcement, which included sharing the title of the book -- Dinner At Somizi's: I Am Not A Chef.

Excited for the launch, the Idols SA judge wants his book to break records when it comes to sales.

"I want and would love to break records, but I cannot break records without you," he said in the short clip, urging fans to pre-order a copy.

About the recipes in the book, the star said: "Every single dish is done with these hands."

"Thank you for your support from the beginning of my career. But now I am wearing a new cap -- I am a cookbook author," he added.

In another post shared on Wednesday morning, the TV personality was adamant that his book would be a record-breaker.

"Judging by first day of pre order sales yesterday im confident that we are going to break the records.....thanks to everyone who has pre ordered and apologies to those that encountered problems ....the system nearly crashed (sic)," he wrote.

The book is available through CNA stores.

In 2017 Somizi released his memoir, Domino: Unbreakable Spirit, which was well-received by fans.
