Bridget Marshall's journey on The Bachelor SA came to an end when Marc Buckner offered his final rose to Marisia van Wyk during the season two final rose ceremony.

Although 31-year-old Bridget failed to form a lasting love connection with Marc on the reality TV dating show, she has found love with former South African rugby player, Kobus de Kock.

Sharing a photo of the couple of Instagram, Bridget wrote: "And then there was you," followed by a heart emoji.

The announcement was met with excitement from The Bachelor SA alum, including Gina Myers, Kelly Tiegan, Jozaan Digue, Jacqueline Ramos-Pinto and Parushka Moodley.

Speaking to Channel24 about finding love after the final episode aired she said: "Maybe I have found him already."

Bridget is the latest in a series of ladies who appeared on the second season of The Bachelor to go public with a new romance. Other contestants who have found love and moved on from Marc include Jessica Calder, Jessica Dorothy, Stefanie Vangelatos, Silke Geugis and Michaela Liebenberg.

In July, Marisia shared on Instagram that she had split from Marc Buckner. Their relationship has been marred with controversy, and both have declined to comment on the status of their relationship.

The Bachelor season one's Lee Thompson has since revealed he too has found love again, following his breakup from celebrity makeup artist Gina Myers, but is yet to disclose the identity of his mystery girlfriend.

Speaking to Channel24, he said: "She is exactly what I wanted in a relationship - one in a million," but added that his girlfriend wished to stay anonymous.
