Johannesburg – After a year of highs, Sho Madjozi, unfortunately, ends 2019 with a tragedy.

According to a statement shared on the rapper's Twitter account, she lost her sister in a car accident on 17 December in Bungeni village, Limpopo.

"On behalf of Sho Madjozi, we wish to express our gratitude for the support we have received following the death of her younger sister, Makhanani Maganye, in a car accident on 17 December in Bungeni village, Limpopo. Makhanani was laid to rest on Sunday 22 December," the statement reads.

The note goes on to thank event organisers for their understanding after Sho had to cancel some appearances.

"We acknowledge and appreciate the disappointment of fans who were looking forward to her performances and appeal for their understanding and support. Sho Madjozi will be back at work as soon as she is in a position to do so," it goes on to say.
