Johannesburg- Controversial radio personality Phat Joe has allegedly landed himself in more hot water.

This comes just days after the Metro FM DJ was taken off air by the SABC, apparently due to a disagreement with management.

Swirling rumours have been doing the rounds that listeners complained to the station about Phat Joe and Pearl Thusi constantly digging into Bonang Matheba on their weekend show.

The SABC would not be drawn into commenting on whether Phat Joe and Pearl's suspension was because of Bonang. (Read more on that here)

Now Phat Joe is apparently in trouble for unfairly dismissing his domestic worker.

According to Sunday World, Joe's domestic worker, Nontembiso Vumazonke reported him to her union, the SA Domestic and Allied Workers' Union (Sadsawu) last month.

Apparently the union plans to report him to the CCMA and the Department of Labour.

"The celebrity entertainer and radio personality known as Phat Joe is better known to Sadsawu as Runaway Joe as he refused to speak to the union to answer to the charges of unfair dismissal of his domestic worker of five years," the union told the paper in a statement.

The statement went onto add that Nontembiso claims she was dismissed through a text message, when she tried to contact Phat Joe after her annual leave had ended.

"Sadsawu will not tolerate this kind of behaviour and you will be charged and taken through the process at CCMA for an unfair dismissal order against you‚ with all the requisite compensation as a form of restitution for the employee; and the to the Department of Labour for your deliberate failure to register your domestic worker‚ which effectively means that you are causing her further hardships as she cannot claim from the Unemployment Insurance Fund due to your negligence," the union stated.

Phat Joe has yet to comment on the matter.
