A group of South African artists - including the likes of internationally acclaimed dancer/choreographer Gregory Maqoma, theatre doyenne Faniswa Yisa, award-winning playwright Mike van Graan and dancer/choreograoher Liam Anthony - have sponsored a petition calling for the removal or resignation of Nathi Mthethwa as the minister of the oddly clustered Department of Sports, Arts and Culture.

Perhaps the least respected minister in the country, Mthethwa, who is known on Twitter as the Minister of Congratulations, Condolences and other witchcrafts, is once again under fire for his seeming occupational ineptitude, naiveté and ignorance.
