Arts24: Prior to this, you ran a youth marketing agency and you did that for more than 18 years. Now you refer to yourself as a visual artist and photographer. How did you get into photography?

Marc-Gregory: It was by complete accident. Many years ago an ex-business partner bought me a Canon camera. I fell in love with it. I've got quite a busy mind. When I have a camera in front of me, it slows everything down and I'm able to be present in the moment. 

M-G: I remember feeling like I really love my team and I'm super proud of the work that we're doing. And yet I was feeling quite unfulfilled. I wanted a change. I wasn't sure what that was. It took me some time to really get the courage to follow my passion. Once you're in an established business, things are comfortable. I would never say the word comfortable because running a business is probably the most uncomfortable thing but there was a security that it provided me and my family. Becoming a visual artist is quite a scary thought. But when I committed to it, it became a very exciting prospect. I've been doing that now for a few years.
