Woven, presented by Jazzart Dance Theatre in partnership
with New World Dance Theatre, promises to be an uplifting evening of dance
performances celebrating the diverse local performing arts community.
The production, on stage at Cape Town’s Artscape on 24 and 25 June, is an eclectic collective of performing artists and companies coming together in celebration of the universal language of dance.
According to a statement to the press, the production is aimed at "celebrating, liberating, and reinforcing the spirit of unity and the coming together of different voices speaking through the moving body".
Woven, a two-hour long performance, promises to be a lively and uplifting evening of performing arts companies and artists. The performances will run from 19:30 on Friday and Saturday with a matinee performance on 25 June at 15:00.
