
Mark Pilgrim has had a weekend full of wonderful news.
The veteran radio presenter was transferred to the hospital's general ward after spending 30 days in ICU.
Pilgrim added that the transfer was "one step closer to being home."

Hours after sharing his happy health update, Pilgrim won Best Weekend Radio Show for The Mark Pilgrim Show at the Radio Awards on Saturday night.
"Thank you for that ovation! Brought tears to my eyes. I may be in the hospital bed, but I'm there in spirit! Thank you!" the 53-year-old wrote alongside a video taken at the event.

Pilgrim hosts his show on Hot102.7FM, which airs Monday to Saturday. While the radio presenter still has a position at the station, he has not been on air since falling ill in September.
The TV personality suffered a collapsed lung, leading to the need for multiple medical procedures. His first took place in October.
