Could it be, dear reader, that the Duke and Duchess of Hastings burn for one another... in real life?
Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor play a couple in Netflix's Bridgerton, but when asked about any cast member dating off set, they played it coy in a new interview with Access Hollywood.
"I think that everything you need to know is on camera," Regé-Jean, who was recently rumoured to be a frontrunner for the new James Bond, said. "I think that the sparky words, the scripts and material are more than enough."
The two laughed as Regé-Jean implied they were likely "playing footsies" under the table, and not really videoing in from separate locations.
At the start of the interview, Phoebe said it was working with Shonda Rhimes and Regency that initially attracted her to the role, as she knew then women would have agency in the series.
She added, jokingly, however, that "meeting Regé at the table read" sealed the deal for her. The duke actor, regal as ever, gave her two thumbs up.
