  • In a new interview ahead of the release of her memoir, Jamie Lynn Spears said she's always been sister Britney's "biggest supporter".
  • "I love my sister," she said, with tears in her eyes. "I don't know why we're in this position right now."
  • Britney has unfollowed Jamie on social media, and following her interview, slammed her sister for the things she said about her on TV and in her memoir.

Jamie Lynn Spears' Things I Should Have Said memoir releases Friday, 14 January, and as the new book hits shelves, she's opening up about her family, including sister, Britney Spears.

The Sweet Magnolias star says she's always been Britney's "biggest supporter".

"I love my sister," she told ABC's Juju Chang with tears in her eyes. "I've only ever loved and supported her and done what's right by her, and she knows that, so I don't know why we're in this position right now."

Now, Britney, who told her fans she'd been under the weather earlier this week, slammed her younger sister, after Jamie Lynn described her in her memoir as "erratic", "paranoid" and "spiralling", though she did say she was happy Britney's conservatorship has finally been dissolved.

She wrote: "I watched it [the interview] with a 104° fever lol and it was actually kind of nice having a fever so high cause I had to surrender to not caring. I just couldn't give a fuck... [sic]"

Britney said on social media, there were specific things that did bother her about Jamie's interview, though.

"The 2 things that did bother me that my sister said was how my behaviour was out of control. She was never around me much 15 years ago at that time .... so why are they even talking about that unless she wants to sell a book at my expense??? REALLY???

"Then where the lady mentioned why did she accuse you of doing remixes to her songs ... I know it may sound like a silly thing to most people but I wrote a lot of my songs and my sister was the baby. She never had to work for anything. Everything was always given to her !!!! [sic]"

Britney concluded her post saying she hopes her sister's book "does well" any way, while slamming her family for always trying to "pull [her] down and hurt [her]".
