Brooke Shields has taken to Instagram sharing a video of her recovery after breaking her femur.
The actor appears to be in physical therapy as she walks with crutches in a hospital gown.
"Broke my femur. Beginning to mend. No matter what your challenge is, make a positive choice, for yourself, to move forward. #BeginningisNow," she captioned the post shared on Sunday.
In the clip, the star can be heard saying she is only able to put "20 per cent weight" on her leg. "The goal is to bend your knee each time like a little bit, just so you're not dragging it or hitching up your hip," she says.
The 55-year-old has yet to share the cause of injury, but according to Healthline, the femur – your thigh bone – is the largest and strongest in your body. It is usually only broken by a severe accident, with vehicle accidents being one of the primary causes, and requires surgery to repair followed by a long recovery.
