Cape Town - Daniel Radcliffe was mistaken for a homeless person while out with his dog in New York.

The English actor and producer was wrapped up warmly as he took his dog for a walk in New York.

But all the layers and his unkempt appearance led to a misunderstanding when a stranger offered him money to buy a coffee and told him to "stay warm."

"Apparently I need to shave more often," he laughed, as he told the story on The Graham Norton Show.
