  • George Clooney's three-year-old son just bombed his GQ 2020 Icon of the Year interview.
  • The actor shares twins Alexander and Ella with Amal Clooney.
  • During his profile interview his son hops onto his lap and reveals he speaks fluent Italian.

George Clooney's been given the title of GQ's 2020 Icon of the Year – but to his son, Alexander, he's simply dad.

During a Zoom call, the actor was interrupted by his three-year-old son, Alexander, and their sweet exchange was included in his GQ profile.

The actor shares twins Alexander and Ella with Amal Clooney.

"I'm gonna work, I've got great friends, my life is full, I'm doing well," the 59-year-old reflects in his interview, then he met his human rights activist and lawyer wife. "I didn't know how un-full it was until I met Amal. And then everything changed. And I was like, 'Oh, actually, this has been a huge empty space.'"

He says he's "never been in the position where someone else's life was infinitely more important to me than my own". "You know? And then tack on two more individuals, who are small and have to be fed.…"

According to People, at this point in the conversation, his son popped onto the camera.

"Oh, hey! Here's Alexander. Here's my son. Come here! Say hi! Say hello! Say 'Hi, Zach!'"

Alexander is described as having brown hair and looking just "like the son of George and Amal Clooney".

He sits on his dad's lap, and George tells him: "You've got chocolate on your face. Do you know that? What is that? Did you have chocolate?"

George asks how old he is. "15?" he asks, to which his son replies "No."

"How old are ya?"

"Three. Because I got my birthday."

"Yeah, you had your birthday! And do you speak fluent Italian?"

"Say something in Italian," George says. "Let's hear you say something in Italian. Say 'It's very hot today' in Italian."

"Molto caldo," Alexander says.

"Molto caldo!" George replies.
