The 2021 People's Choice Awards took place on Tuesday evening – and Kim Kardashian bagged the Fashion Icon Award, of course.

Keeping to her 2021 Met Gala style, the reality star wore a black Balenciaga catsuit with thick black sunglasses as she accepted the award presented to her by last year's recipient, Tracee Ellis Ross.

"To be receiving this award from a fashion icon herself, Tracee, I am so honoured," Kim said. "I am honestly so humbled to be here. I mean, I started off as a closet organiser and a stylist. So the fact that I am winning a Fashion Icon Award, it's like a pinch-me moment."

The Skims founder went on to thank a long list of people, including some of the most influential designers, before moving on to her ex, Ye, formerly known as Kanye West.

"Thank you to Kanye for really introducing me to the fashion world," she said, as the crowd erupted in cheers.

"I fell in love with fashion, and I'm so inspired by so many people. But again, this is a dream that I get to wake up and wear these amazing clothes and just try new things. You know, take a risk. I'm so humbled. Thank you so much," she said.

Kim later joined her mom, Kris Jenner, and sister, Khloé Kardashian, on stage when the trio accepted the Best Reality Show of 2021 Award for their long-running series.

Keeping Up With the Kardashians concluded on E! in June.
