Kris Jenner is sharing advice with daughter Kim Kardashian amid her split from Kanye West.

Kris was married to Robert Kardashian from 1978 to 1991, and shares children Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob with the defence attorney who died in 2003. She also has daughters Kendall and Kylie with Caitlyn Jenner – the two married in 1991 before divorcing in 2015.

In conversation with WSJ Magazine's The One, Kris says: "I think the most important thing I learned through my experience, both of my experiences, is that the kids come first." She adds: "If you keep that in the front of your mind and know that they are going to get you through, the love is going to get you through, you know, no matter how much you're hurting."

Kim filed for divorce from Kanye West on 19 February after seven years together. The couple's split has been "amicable", though, with both requesting joint legal and physical custody of their four children: North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
