  • Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard appeared on The View this week and admitted they often "forget" to bathe their kids.
  • The admission comes shortly after Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher sparked debate last week after telling the Armchair Expert podcast host they don't bathe their kids every day.
  • Now, The Good Place star says: "I'm a big fan of waiting for the stink... I wait for the stink."

After Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher appeared on Dax Shepard's podcast last week, they sparked debate with the admission they don't regularly bathe their kids.

"Here's the thing: if you can see the dirt on 'em, clean 'em. Otherwise, there's no point," Ashton Kutcher said.

Dax Shepherd agreed with the couple, saying he and wife Kristen Bell also don't bathe their kids all the time. "You should not be getting rid of all the natural oil on your skin with a bar of soap every day."

Now, Kristen joined her husband on The View, where they said once again they do not bathe their kids every day.

"We bathed our children every single night—prior to bed is like the routine," Dax said. "And then somehow, they just started going to sleep on their own without the routine, and by George, we had to start saying, 'Hey, when's the last time you bathed them?'"

Kristen added: "Yeah, we forget."

"Sometimes five, six days go along. I mean, they don't smell," Dax said.

The couple, who've been together since 2007, share daughters Lincoln, 8, and Delta, 6.

Kristen said during the interview: "Well, they do sometimes," – stink, that is.

"I'm a big fan of waiting for the stink," she said. "Once you catch a whiff, that's biology's way of letting you know you need to clean it up."

She concluded: "I wait for the stink."
