Tributes are pouring in for actor, Chadwick Boseman.

The star, known for his portrayal as King T'Challa in the groundbreaking Black Panther, as well as Jackie Robinson in 42 and James Brown in Get on Up, died on Friday after a four-year battle with colon cancer.

"A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all," a statement read on Friday.

Fellow Marvel stars Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans and Zoe Saldana, have all taken to social media to pay their respects.

The Guardians of the Galaxy star wrote on Instagram: "Rest in Power King T'Challa. My heart is so heavy right now. Your passing has hit me hard. I will tell my sons about you forever."

Marvel also paid tribute to the actor. "Your legacy will live on," they wrote.
