Tory Lanez has been charged in the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.
The WAP hitmaker was shot in the foot in July, taking to Instagram to share she’s "incredibly grateful to be alive".
The 25-year-old was in a car with Tory Lanez, who she was thought to have been dating, when he got arrested on a weapons charge. But it wasn’t until a month later that she claimed the Canadian rapper was actually the one that shot her in an explicit Instagram Live.
Tory was charged in Los Angeles on Thursday for the shooting.
CNN reports Tory is facing one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and one count of carrying a loaded, concealed firearm in a vehicle.
Tory’s arraignment has been scheduled for 13 October. If found guilty on both charges, he could face up to 22 years and eight months in prison.
