So, who is the hunky suitor that has caught the eye of the eighth in line to the throne?

1. He is a property business owner

Edoardo – also known as Edo – made his money through property developing and founded property search and development firm Banda in 2007, E! News reports. According to his bio on the company site, Edo “has considerable experience in the acquisition and funding of complex residential developments and the creation of joint ventures with both UK and international partners.”

2. His family is friends of Beatrice’s family

According to People magazine Edo and Beatrice have known each other for years due to family connections.

The 34-year-old’s step-father, Christopher Shale, was reportedly good friends was an old friend of Beatrice’s parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. The late businessman made headlines when he died at the Glastonbury rock festival in 2011. Beatrice joined her family at his funeral.

3. He does charity work

While Edo is a multi-millionaire thanks to his successful company, he gives back, too.

The property developer founded Cricket Builds Hope – an initiative created in 2011 that uses cricket as a tool for positive social change in Rwanda. According to the site, CBH was the brainchild of Christopher Shaw but was set up by Edo as well as friends and family after his death.

“CBH harnesses the power of sport to promote reconciliation and tackle deep-seated social issues like gender inequality through specially tailored sessions run by CBH’s cricket coaching team.”

4. He is a divorcee

Edo is divorced and has a 2-year-old son named Wolfie, The Sun reports.

If the couple tie the knot, Beatrice will be going against royal traditions by marrying a divorcee – something Prince Harry did too, after he married Meghan on 19 May.

5. He is on social media

You can find Edo on both Instagram and Twitter. While he keeps his IG private, he appears to use his Twitter profile to promote his company and charity initiatives.
