  • Suits writer, Jon Cowan, wrote of Meghan Markle as a "warm, kind, caring person" following the accusations against her.
  • The Duchess of Sussex is being accused of bullying her staff while working at Kensington Palace.
  • Gabrielle Union, Jameela Jamil and Chance the Rapper are among the celebs coming to the royal's defence.

Meghan Markle's friends are coming to her defence.

The Times recently reported that complaints of bullying were made against the duchess during her time at Kensington Palace in 2018. Buckingham Palace has since said they'd be looking into the claims, while Harry and Meghan have commented it is no coincidence the report comes just as their tell-all with Oprah is about to air.

The couple's lawyers added that The Times was being used "by Buckingham Palace to peddle a wholly false narrative" before the explosive interview.

Meghan's friends have since shared stories attesting to her character. Suits writer Jon Cowan wrote on Twitter: "It's also possible the Duchess of Sussex is a good person thrust into an unimaginable world. Having spent 3 years working with her in her pre-Duchess days, I saw a warm, kind, caring person. I know nothing of her current situation but she gets the benefit of the doubt in my book."

Jameela Jamil said: "If this is what the royal family is comfortable ding to a heavily pregnant woman publicly... can we even IMAGINE what they put her through privately?"

Gabrielle Union had the best response to The Times, though, commenting a simple "Sure, Jan," on Twitter.
