Meghan Markle reveals what Archie thinks of her book The Bench

Archie is a big fan of Meghan Markle's New York Times bestselling children's picture book, The Bench.

The book illustrated by Christian Robinson - released on 8 June - is inspired by Prince Harry and Archie's relationship.

In a pre-recorded interview with NPR Weekend Edition, Meghan shared what her and Prince Harry's two-year-old son thinks of the book.

"Archie loves the book. He has a voracious appetite for books, and constantly when we read him a book, he goes 'Again, again.'

"Now the fact that he loves The Bench, and we can say, 'Mommy wrote this for you,' feels amazing," she said.

The Duchess of Sussex previously said that the book started as a poem she wrote for Harry to celebrate his first Father's Day, a month after Archie was born.

Meghan also shared in the interview that the book was also inspired by the sentimental gift she gave her husband: a bench.

"As most of us do, you go, what am I going to get them as a gift? And I thought I just wanted something sentimental and a place for him to have as a bit of a home base with our son."
